The Mighty Bosco – Tiny Desk 2024 Entry – 2/17/24
The Mighty Bosco is a song I wrote last year about Bosco J Dog.
Bosco is a Cairn Terrier who won the dog Power Ball when he was plucked out of a kill shelter in southern Indiana in February 2023 and came to live with us in Dexter, MI. At the time, he weighed 8 lbs., had a broken tail and had been living rough for sometime. A year later, he is a solid 14 lb. knucklehead and best friends with Archie the cat. He and Archie keep me company in my office every day.
This recording, made on 2/17/24, is my entry to the NPR 2024 Tiny Desk music competition. For guitar aficionados, I played a 2010 Taylor LKSM 12 string in a kind of odd open tuning that fits both the song and the guitar quite nicely.
