Young Crows & Barbers’ Cat

Some people have a knack for taking your measure more or less at a glance. When I was in graduate school in Vermont, my girlfriend’s father shared his blunt estimate of my essential nature:

You’re full of more shit than the barber’s cat.”

You’re full of more shit than a young crow.”

I took it as a compliment, he had a master’s in BS of his own…
