Jack Frost (Can I Get A Witness)
Jack Frost is serene exercise for 12 string that uses harmonics to create a light and frosty winter feel.
It was another piece written, recorded and promptly forgotten about until unearthed in early 2021 as part of my archival excavations.
The serenity is punctured about 4 minutes in by my erstwhile collaborator, Max Justice Dog, but the tune continues on its way thereafter. It seemed like a keeper at the time, and it still does now. I do miss Max.
This was maybe recorded on an old Taylor 655c all maple custom shop 12 string. My memory for this kind of thing is not so good.
That said, I found this fine player languishing in Elderly Instrument’s attic inventory several decades ago. It was later given a nice neck reset and tune up back in the early 90s by Jim Grainger, a fine luthier in Tennessee. The guitar has been right as rain ever since.
