The Man With the Yellow Hat

The Man With the Yellow Hat

My friend Kim had been fostering a male feline named Archie and found that he was a bit too rambunctious for an older resident cat. She asked me if I would be interested in taking Archie on, knowing that I had recently lost 2 older cats (George and Marcy) and my terrier Lucy this past summer.

As it turns out, Archie, like his predecessor George, has that orange cat mojo. Today was Archie’s full day in my workshop and office in the pole barn. He seems to have adapted to his new home without skipping a beat.

I am so very happy to have a friend in my office again!

I set an old song to some video from this morning when we were sharing my coffee as the sun streamed in the east windows in my office. The Man With the Yellow Hat seemed like an appropriate song for today. Its one of the few things I have written and recorded for a flat pick style guitar.

For this recording, I used an old (1981) Taylor 555 12 string.
