For Suzanne

This is one of the prettiest tunes I have written.

Suzanne was my friend and playmate when I lived in Midland, MI as a child. She lived around the block with her yucky older sister Marianne and their schnauzer Mitzi.

When we moved to Houston in 1968, it was Suzanne’s mother who first told me we were moving away. I do believe that Mrs. Ballard was so sad to see us go.
