September Saturday
Here is a chestnut – on an electric 12 string no less, I should do this more often.
This was written and recorded when I was a senior in college, so I was maybe 19 or 20 at this point. It features thumb and forefinger cross picking that gives my arthritic hands fits these days. Youth is wasted on the young they say.
The video was shot this past Saturday in my 2004 self-driving Toyota mini van on the way back from getting a haircut in Chelsea. I cleaned the windows up sort of when I stopped to fill the tank up and also bought Lenny the Box Turtle some night crawlers. I lied to the guy in the store – “Where are you going fishing?” -” Oh, Mill Creek in Dexter” – as it is always easier than explaining that you need worms for your box turtle.
In any event, the drive between Dexter and Chelsea is always lovely before there is any traffic on the road…
